Why SoftLift™?

Nonsurgical treatments cannot replicate surgical outcomes.

At Beauty Within, we offer the SoftLift™ treatment - which is a combination of Juvederm® and Botox Cosmetic® focusing on full-facial rejuvenation.

Both Juvederm® and Botox Cosmetic® are made by Allergan, the world leader in medical aesthetics. Health Canada approved, this treatment is provided only by trained and experienced health professionals.

What Does a SoftLift™ Address?

A SoftLift™ is recommended to soften the signs of aging and create an overall refreshed/rejuvenated appearance. This treatment is tailored and customized to you. Very specific amounts of both Botulinum Toxin and dermal fillers are calculated to give the optimal outcome.

In addition to smoothing out the skin, features such as the jawline, chin or lips can be enhanced to help create a more youthful profile, or to simply achieve a more contoured look according to your goals or desires.

Who Should Not Receive a SoftLift™ Treatment?

Hyaluronic acid based dermal filler is not recommended for use in pregnant or lactating women, anyone with a history of an allergic reaction to the drug or any of its active ingredients (collagen, eggs, or lidocaine), as well as any infected or inflamed skin, bleeding disorders, and individuals with a tendency to produce excessive scarring such as keloids and/or hypertrophic scars. Please inform us if you have or are experiencing any of the mentioned conditions.

Botulinum Toxin is not recommended for use in pregnant or lactating women, as well as anyone who has had an allergic reaction to the drug or any of its active ingredients. Botulinum Toxin cannot be used if you have an infection in the muscles or an open wound/area of the skin where it would normally be injected; you have any muscle disorders in other parts of your body, including myasthenia gravis, Eaton Lambert Syndrome or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Side Effects

Common and minor side effects include:

• Redness, local irritation, swelling, itching, discomfort, firmness/bumps, discolouration, minor bruising at the injection sites, risk of infection, and headache.
• Eyelid/eyebrow ptosis (droop). If this occurs, it will always resolve.
• Injection in the lip may cause more swelling and bruising due to the unique physiology of this area.

Rare side effects include:

• Allergic reaction (including anaphylaxis), trouble swallowing, respiratory distress, seizures, facial paralysis, localized muscle twitches, tiredness.
• Tissue and retinal necrosis, embolism.
